The Church of The Messiah warmly invites you to join us as we seek to know God and love one another. Our mission is to transform lives by offering people an encounter with the Divine.
We are a diverse, urban congregation of the Anglican Church of Canada in the heart of Toronto. We come to church for many reasons: some of us are firm in the joy of God and some of us still seeking; but we all know that here at the Church of the Messiah we will hear the Word of God and find fellowship and welcome.
We are a modern congregation with a solid link to Toronto’s Anglican past, and a passionate belief in the work of God in the present. Our church reflects Toronto’s multicultural society, and is open to its needs. We worship in a church that once burned down and was built back up – we are always reminded of the gifts and blessings of God.
We know that God changes us when we listen. We know that living the Christian life is both simple and hard; for “…what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.” Here at the Church of the Messiah we are on a journey to do that – and we welcome all who would like to join us.

Sunday Celebrations
Every Sunday:
10:30 am Sunday Celebration with music and church school followed by coffee hour.
As the programme year for 2009 spins up we are pleased to announce the appointment of Eric Osborne as the new Minister of Music. Eric comes to us with a very strong background in church music and has many fine ideas for the future of music in our parish.
Many things are happening at Church of The Messiah. A renovation of our christian education space has created a gorgeous "Children's Chapel" complete with giant murals painted by the well-known mural artist, Susy Bleasby. New ministries such as the Contempaltive Eucharist and the Healing Prayer goup are meeting regularly. We are very pleased to be welcoming our new Minister of Music, Eric Osborne. Prayer Requests
Jesus instructed his disciples to pray for themselves and others, saying that just as a parent would give only good things to a child, so our God will give us what we need if we ask (Matthew 7:7-11). Therefore we pray not only on Sundays, but throughout the week for concerns brought to us. If you would like us to pray for something of concern to you, please e-mail us at this address: prayer "at" churchofthemessiah.ca.
